Jeffrey M Oshinsky has over 27 years of experience handling transactional and corporate matters. Jeff has provided counsel to clients seeking advice on business activities ranging from formation, financing (including both institutional and mezzanine financings), and day-to-day operations to acquisitions, mergers and sales, and liquidations. Throughout his legal career, Jeffrey M Oshinsky has established a strong reputation for his dedicated and effective representation of clients across a range of corporate and financing matters.
Mr. Jeffrey M Oshinsky spends a substantial amount of time negotiating financing and acquisition transactions and focusing on various credit facilities, including:
- mergers and asset acquisitions and dispositions
- leveraged private equity transactions
- senior term and revolving working capital loans
- subordinated mezzanine debt
- second-lien loans
- inter-creditor issues
Jeff began his legal career in New York City in the Bankruptcy/Insolvency Group of Proskauer Rose, an international law firm which provided Jeff with substantial experience in creditor rights and insolvency. During this time, Jeff regularly represented companies and other creditor constituencies in large, complicated insolvency proceedings. Following a move to Miami, Jeff was a partner in the Corporate and Securities Department of Greenberg Traurig, an international law firm, where his practice focused on a broad range of general corporate and commercial representations, including representation of numerous issuers and underwriters in public and private offerings of equity and debt securities. Following a move to White and Case, one of the world’s leading law firms with over forty offices globally, Jeff’s practice focused on representing private equity firms including H.I.G. Capital, among others, in connection with leveraged acquisitions and capital raising activities. Mr. Oshinsky has been recognized for legal excellence by Martindale Hubbell.
Jeff has spent the last seven years in private practice representing a wide range of clients including private equity and family funds, manufacturers, varied product and service providers, financial institutions, real estate developers, and property owners. Jeff’s experience with clients in a variety of industries and with diverse financial requirements has enabled him to offer practical and creative advice on general corporate, transactional, financing, and related matters. Throughout his career, Jeff has guided both investors and emerging companies throughout the venture capital life cycle, from start-up to exit.
